After your injection

Depending on how they are used, treatment with our dermal fillers is unlikely to affect your facial movements and the benefits can normally be seen instantly.1

Following your injection, the practitioner may gently massage the injected area to smooth out any irregularities.2,3

Photographs may be taken to compare before and after treatment results.

You may experience some post injection reactions such potential side effects related to the implantation of the filler device, occurring immediately following injection or after a delay. These include, among others local or general manifestation.2,4 Ask your practitioner for advice and about possible side effects*.

You will typically be able to go back to your normal activities right after treatment, but it is particularly recommended to avoid:5,6
 

  • Using make-up for 12 hours after your injection
  • Drinking alcohol, taking a plane or doing any kind of sports for 3 days after the injection
  • Dental treatments, any other type of aesthetic procedures, sun exposure and extreme temperatures (e.g. icy weather, saunas) during the week following your injection


Ask your practitioner to fill in your Beauty Pass in order to keep a record of your aesthetic procedures.

For an optimal and long-lasting result, discuss with her/him if and when you might need a follow-up appointment.

*The practitioner must inform the patient that there are potential side effects related to the implantation of this device, occurring immediately following injection or after a delay. These include, among others:-Local manifestations: inflammatory reactions (erythema, oedema, pain at the point of injection),haematomas, itching, temporary loss of sensitivity around the injected area, dyschromia, abscesses, indurations, nodules (possibly granulomas).-General manifestations: immediate hypersensitivity up to anaphylactic shock, migration of the implant.- Rare but serious adverse events associated with the intravascular injection of soft tissue fillers in the face have been reported and include temporary or permanent vision impairment or blindness, skin necrosis and stroke.
