New Expert Guidelines Aim to Improve Safety and Natural Results in Lip Filler Treatments3
New evidence‑informed expert guidelines, developed from several scientific advisory boards with international aesthetic specialists, propose a structured Anatomy‑Technique‑Product (ATP) approach and a “traffic light” safety system to improve safety, consistency, and natural outcomes in hyaluronic acid lip filler treatments. The poster introduces a new bi‑directional injection technique suitable for beginners and highlights the importance of choosing low‑viscosity, highly flexible fillers with strong tissue integration, supporting the clinical use of the RHA® Kiss Collection, including RHA® Kiss Volume, powered by Preserved Network Technology (PNT) to maintain dynamic, natural‑looking lip expression.
New Expert Guidelines Aim to Improve Safety and Natural Results in Lip Filler Treatments3
Outcomes of several scientific Advisory Boards including international aesthetic experts have introduced new evidence-informed guidelines designed to improve safety, consistency, and natural appearance when using HA-based lip filler treatments. To support safer practice, the authors recommend following a structured Anatomy-Technique-Product (ATP) approach guiding practitioners through patient assessment, appropriate injection techniques, and optimal product selection.
A “traffic light” safety system has been introduced, helping to categorize lip injection techniques by risk level, aiming to reduce complications while improving clinical outcomes.
Expert-reviewed injection techniques were presented for different patient profiles and treatment objectives, including:
- Beautification to enhance and volumise the shape, symmetry, and lip proportions for facial harmony
Rejuvenation to refresh and revitalize lips
- Restoration to recover and reconstruct lips and perioral structure
A new unpublished injection technique(Bi-directional) is introduced for the first time in this poster, suitable for beginner practitioners, characterized by a low vascular risk profile, adaptable to all patient ages and outcomes across beautification, rejuvenation, and restoration indications.
The authors also emphasized the importance of choosing the right type of hyaluronic acid filler. Products with low viscosity, high flexibility, and good tissue integration are recommended to preserve natural lips expression. These findings support the clinical use of the RHA® Kiss Collection, including RHA® Kiss Volume, which builds on the Teoxane RHA® range powered by Preserved Network Technology (PNT), engineered to adapt to facial movement and support dynamic, natural-looking results.
